Sophie Lise Hannibal is a writer, director, producer, poet, songwriter, photographer, collage artist, deejay, and muse. Originally from New York City, she grew up in a creative family of actors, musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs.
Sophie's career includes over 25 years in the entertainment industry where she worked in film production, distribution, exhibition, talent management, and PR. At Variety Club, an industry-sponsored children's charity, she worked with Hollywood studios to develop and implement the charity’s successful Gold Heart campaign in cinemas throughout North America.
AT DTS®, she launched and marketed audio products and technologies for motion pictures and consumer electronics. She spent four years in the company's UK operation directing European and international marketing. She also produced several of the company's highly coveted demo discs and theatrical trailers, high-profile trade shows, and award-winning marketing campaigns.
Sophie has directed and produced live concerts, community theatre, cable shows, and film revivals. As producer, director, set designer and stage manager, she has worked with the American Film Institute, the Hidden Hills Theatre, and the Inner City Cultural Center. She has been a voting member of BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television Arts), a docent at the Los Angeles Zoo, and an advocate for abused and neglected children.
As a muse, Sophie has created, influenced, and inspired original music, writings, shows, businesses, and fellow humans in search of insight and illumination.
